Pastels

I made a natural progression into pastels when I started looking for something that was more portable perhaps and quicker to finish. I love oils and needle felting but oils can take a long, long time to paint even when creating a wet on wet piece (not waiting for layers to dry). Needle felting sometimes would take me weeks or in some cases months. So I ventured into dry or oil pastels. Dry pastels for me anyway, need a studio as the dust is messy, but oil pastels are wonderful and travel worthy. I find expressing myself in this manner can be a delight!
